
The Tacoma Food Co-op
In fall of 2006, a group of Tacoma residents recognized the need for an affordable urban grocery that provides organic, local, and natural foods. The steering committee that formed from this meeting decided that a cooperative business model would best meet this need. The Tacoma Food Co-op is currently in its forming stage, and welcomes participation and leadership on all levels.
Come and Cultivate at the 2nd Annual Tacoma Food Cooperative Benefit Saturday, August 29, 2009 in Wright Park from 4 to 9pm.
Learn about how to become a member from the current 200+ members and volunteers of the Tacoma Food Co-op. The mission is to operate a cooperatively owned grocery store for the health and well-being of our community.
Like-minded vendors will be giving out information and selling products.
- The Health Connection will be offering free massages.
- Tacoma Power will be giving out Eco-friendly light bulbs.
- South Sound Healers Network will be providing games & activities for kids.
